It's what I call this page where I chronicle media I've enjoyed, funny or interesting things I've found, and random stuff I wanted to write down.
It's part digital scrapbook, part recommendation list, and part stream of consciousness. Because I'd rather post random shit on my own website than use most social media.

Season 2 was not as good as the first season, but that's a hard act to follow. I still enjoyed it, it answered some questions, and they're clearly setting up some big things for the future. Need more Dogmeat, though, he was just a prop this season!
A website to destroy all websites, by Henry from Online
Found this recently and it really spoke to me, or whatever. I've been adding more "personal" stuff to this site so it's more than just a blog with a bunch of guides on how to do things. (Although that will always remain the main focus.) I strongly suggest this insightful article about the internet and websites.
Canada’s PM Carney Says US-Led World Order Is Breaking at World Economic Forum
It was already known, but it hurts even more to hear it explained so eloquently by a world leader with a functioning brain.

I played the shit out of this game during the COVID lockdowns like everyone else. I eventually stopped playing in 2021, but my wife did not really, aside from some breaks here and there -- she has over 2000 hours and counting on the game. She is pleased that I'll be joining her again for a little while with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
I've been on a bit of a break, but I need to go back soon.

The only souls-like I've ever stuck with and actually beaten. I think it's time for a replay, and maybe this time I can actually beat the DLC final boss...
The original Metroid Prime is one of my favorite games of all time, I did not like Metroid Prime 2: Echoes as much and never even played Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. I loved Metroid Prime 4 for the most part, it felt like a return to the first game's roots, but some changes were a step (or three) backwards and the ending was just plain bad.
The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.

In the current, digitized world, trivial information is accumulating every second, preserved in all its triteness. Never fading, always accessible... All this junk data preserved in an unfiltered state, growing at an alarming rate.

My favorite movie, as well of my wife's -- we bonded over this when we first met. Our dog is named Leeloo.
I'm a huge fan of the original FFT, I would go back to play it on a PSX emulator once every few years, and even bought it for Android. (Oddly the version with the best performance.) This remaster with QOL improvements, all new features and gameplay segments, full voice acting for all characters, and an easier difficulty to re-learn the game make this the true definitive edition.
I've always been a sucker for alternate history and this particular book is both thought-provoking and very fun to read. The author uses Buddhism and spirituality in an interesting way to connect disparate characters and historcal events over hundreds of years.
Quite possibly the GOAT. I played this thing in high school and I still remember how a lot of parts made me feel. It's my favorite JRPG ever. It helped inspire what I call the page I'm posting this on.
